Year End: 60 Projects Completed 535 Service Hours $3079 Spent 28 Interclubs 2004 - 2005 (From E-Builder Jan 2005) On New Year’s Day the residents of Lancaster County have a reason to be proud The local marching band from Lancaster High School will have the honor of representing the United States by performing in the annual New Year’s Day Parade in London England Getting there was no easy challenge for the students This 200 member band hails from a rural area where the high school only seats approximately 450 students The students and the local band boosters worked diligently to raise the $150000 needed to make the trip through a variety of fundraisers Members of the local community also contributed in the form of donations The Kiwanis Club of Kiln Creek located in Newport News VA jumped at the opportunity to help support the students despite the fact that they were from a community miles away The band is set to return on January 3rd after which Spiers will be visiting the club to share the experiences of the trip Matt Brent presented a check to band director Robert Spiers. Contributed $100 to Tsunami Relief Effort.
